What to Do: ✔

  • Stay upright for at least 4hours after treatment to prevent

  • Cleanse your face gently in the evening after treatment, without rubbing the treatment area.

  • Apply a cold compress if you experience mild swelling or bruising (avoid direct ice on the skin).

  • Stay hydrated and maintain healthy skincare routine.

What to Avoid: !!

Things to Avoid Immediately After Botox & Fillers

  • Strenuous Exercise:

Refrain from intense physical activity for at least 24 hours. Increased blood flow from exercise can cause the Botox to migrate or lead to increased bruising.

  • Heat Exposure:

Avoid saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds, and direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours. Heat can dilate blood vessels, potentially causing increased swelling, bruising, and even affecting how the Botox settles.

  • Lying Down Flat:

Stay upright for at least 4 hours after your injections. Lying down can cause the Botox to migrate to unintended areas.

  • Alcohol Consumption:

Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood, potentially increasing the risk of bruising.

  • Facial Treatments:

Avoid facials, massages, or other facial treatments for at least 24 hours. These can put pressure on the treated area and potentially interfere with the Botox settling.

  • Flying:

While not a strict contraindication, it's generally recommended to avoid flying for a few days after Botox, especially if you are prone to swelling or bruising. Changes in air pressure can potentially exacerbate these issues.

  • Rubbing or Pressing the Injection Sites:

Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours. This can potentially spread the Botox to unintended areas and reduce its effectiveness.

Things to Do (and Not Do) Regarding Exercise:

  • Light exercise (walking, gentle yoga) is generally fine after 4 hours.

  • Avoid strenuous activities for at least 24 hours.

  • Inverted yoga poses should be avoided for 24 hours.

Important Considerations:

  • Follow the specific aftercare instructions. As I may have tailored recommendations based on your individual treatment plan.

  • If you experience any unusual symptoms (severe pain, vision changes, etc.), contact your practitioner immediately.

  • Be patient. It can take a few days for the full effects of Botox to become apparent.
